good question, the only thing i could think of is that they/he couldn?t get the rights from Cleopatra for it. I noticed all the other songs on the Greatest Hits that are from Dead End were already recorded for the Black N Shiny release so he has a version of those songs that could be remastered and released. without permission from Cleopatra to use Lipstick, the only new song on Dead End, he would have to pay them for using it.

i'll let you know if i ever hear anything about it though.

Hi Guys!

It was people from thsi forum that first got me into the Newlydeads. Since then I have bought and traded for originals of their 3 albums. Especially Dead End was on for months every day after I got it.

So, am I thrilled to know that they have just released a best of with some unreleased tracks?

Am I also a bit puzzled and don't really understand something?

YES!!!

They have put together a best of record without their best song. Where on earth is LIPSTICK on this CD?

Ok, I know a lot of you will probably argue that Submission is a better song and I like that one as well as I do with most of their songs... so I'm not getting into a "best song" discussion, but I think it's not just me who's puzzled at this. Lipstick is at least (together with Six Feet Deep and Sleeping Pill)one of the most catchy songs on the dead end record.

So why isn't it included?

Alright! Thanks. That sounds like a very likely reason. Too bad the best of has to suffer from it though as it would no doubt have been a stronger album with Lipstick on there.
